Petts Wood Operatic Society has its own rehearsal hall situated in York Rise, Orpington, Kent. There is parking available for those using the hall. It is available for hire by both members of the Society and the public.
The hall has a maximum capacity of 80 persons with seating for 80. The hall has a cloakroom area, separate male and female toilets, a kitchen, warm air heating, good natural light and range of electrical lighting, Piano * ,moveable tables and chairs for flexible arrangements and layouts.
The hall can be hired from 10.00am until 11.30pm, seven days a week. The hall must be vacated by 11.45pm. Rates of hire are lower during the daytime before 6 pm. For full hiring details see Conditions of Hire below.

1. Capacity - The maximum capacity of the Hall is 80 persons, and must not be exceeded. There is seating for 80.
2. Latest Time - Functions must cease by 11.30pm and the building vacated by 11.45pm.
3. Access Keys - Hirers are responsible for making arrangements for the collection and return of keys. Lost keys will be charged for.
4. Hire Charge - Payment of invoice for use of the hall is due four weeks prior to the hiring or upon receipt of invoice if later. Bookings cancelled at short notice will be chargeable.
5. Heating Control - Thermostats must not be adjusted.
6. Smoking - Smoking is not allowed in any part of the hall.
7. Equipment and Furniture - All apparatus and utensils used must be left in a clean and serviceable condition. Stackable chairs must be left stacked neatly around the perimeter of the hall. Tables also must be cleared to the sides.
8. Security - Doors and windows must be closed and secured and the entrance door must be locked when the premises are vacated. All curtains should be opened. Hirers must lock the gates at the foot of the slope when leaving the site.
9. Hall Cleaning - Hirers should leave the hall in a clean and tidy condition fit for the next hirer.
10. Rubbish Disposal - All rubbish generated during the hirers use of the Hall must be removed from the premises. NB There is no Council refuse collection from the hall.
11. Lights etc - Lights and all gas and electrical appliances must be turned off when the premises are vacated. Particularly the toilets should be checked to ensure those lights are off.
12. Parking - Hirers may, at their own risk, park cars in the areas adjacent to the hall. They are requested to park 'thoughtfully' bearing in mind the users of the adjacent Hall and the need for access by emergency vehicles. Drivers leaving should have regard for local residents.
13. Local Residents - Due consideration should be given to local residents at all times.
14. Piano - The piano is not to be moved or used without the prior permission of the Company.
15. Hirers Risk - Hirers are exclusively responsible for all items brought into or left in the Hall. The Company accepts no liability for this or for any damage or injury to persons arising from use of the hall.
16. Damage - Hirers are responsible for making good all damage to the hall, its fixtures and fittings and the Company's items in the Hall, and will be called upon to pay for all replacements and reparations arising during the hiring.
